The Artist

Behind the lens and brush.

Hi! I'm April. I spend my days chasing God in golden hour light across southern Wisconsin and enjoying the beauty all around me.

I take great joy in attuning to the world so I can capture what I see--light, detail, joy...etc. I believe in carrying the mindset of being an amateur in my art. I am 'one who loves' my craft and always seeks to gain skill and perspective.

I see through my own unique aperture, and I try to capture the fleeting moment, whether on the canvas or through a photograph, to portray the beauty and truth I see in the world.

I love to pass on the skill of seeing the world to others. I hope you can join me for my Wisconsin Wilds Paint & Sip Experience or (eventually) enjoy one of my custom prints. Whether you're here to just take a look at my work, book an experience, or buy my art, welcome, and--Stay Gold.

My Philosophy

Finding your visual voice.

We don't teach rigid templates here. Instead, we focus on the raw mechanics of composition, light, and color. Whether you hold a camera or a brush, the goal is to capture a feeling.

Every workshop is limited to a handful of easels, ensuring quiet, dedicated guidance. We work with high-grade linen canvases and rich pigments that carry real texture.

The Space

A sanctuary of slow craft.

Located in the historic creative district, our physical studio is designed to be a quiet retreat from the digital noise. It is a tactile environment where physical mediums are celebrated, and ideas take shape on canvas and film.

The air here smells of linseed oil, turpentine, and fresh espresso. We designed this space not as a loud social hall, but as a quiet sanctuary for slow, deliberate art-making.
